Medical Services
We offer complete medical care for all our feline patients. Each of our experienced veterinarians receive continued training in particular aspects of feline medicine giving us the opportunity to offer second, third and fourth opinions on all hospital cases. With specific interests in internal medicine, geriatrics, reproduction, pediatrics, dentistry, endocrine disorders and surgery, the veterinarians who are most knowledgeable in a particular problem provide the most input for that case.
Since cats age at least four years in each calendar year, the doctors at Abbeywood Cat Clinic recommend comprehensive physical examinations twice per year. Wellness care, preventative medication, diagnostics and pain management are stressed in our practice.
Our wellness care includes but is not limited to:
- Comprehensive Physical Examinations
- Senior Cat Care Kitten / Pediatric Care
- Microchipping (for Permanent Identification)
- Immunizations
- Laboratory Testing ñ Blood, Urine and Fecal Testing
- Behavior Counseling
- Referrals and Second Opinions
We provide individually tailored vaccination protocols for all our feline patients. Before immunizing any cat, we consider its overall health, lifestyle and risk profile.
In our geographic location, heartworm is a serious problem for both dogs and cats. We recommend that all cats (indoor and outdoor) receive monthly heartworm prevention. We also recommend routine feline leukemia and FIV testing.
Our
hospital has the latest laboratory
and medical diagnostic equipment
including blood analyzers, x-ray,
ultrasound and endoscopy.
We also offer allergy testing
and biopsy services.
With the combined talent of our experienced veterinarians and staff, we are able to provide medical services for problems ranging from routine wounds, lacerations and respiratory infections to complex diabetic cases, cancer therapy, urinary tract problems and cardiac disorders.
If you have any questions, please give us a call. The doctors are easily accessible and always eager to discuss your catís medical needs.
